Six of our swimmers scored new team records this last weekend at the Florida State Special Olympics Swimming Championships. We also had a total of 20 individual golds and two relay golds. There were four Silver medalists and five Bronze. On the negative side we had two individual DQs and one relay (we will work on this for next year)
Gregg Dedic lead the way in record breaking setting new team records in the 50 Backstroke 1:18.1 and the 200 Backstroke 2:54.1 Gregg also lead off our record breaking 200 medley relay 2:45.8. Lori Thomas lead the girls setting two new individual women’s open records, in breaking her own records in the 50 free 44.7 and 50 fly 1:07.6. Lauren Bergquist was our other women’s standard breaker, breaking her own junior record in the 100m free with a time of 1:50.2 Ian Soules was our other individual record breaker setting a new standard for both the Junior and Open 50 meter Breaststroke with a time of 48.9 Ian was also a member of our record breaking medley relay. Jesse Greve and Jonathon Sady rounded out our record breakers with participation in the medley relay record. Many Congratulations to all of our record breakers.

FYI: Chris actually received 1 Gold in the 100M Freestyle with a time of 1:28:93 and 1 Silver in the 100M Butterfly with a time of 1:56:72.
These times are directly off of the tags on his medals. Chris did not receive a 4th place ribbon.
