The Man O’ War swimmers had an excellent showing this weekend at the National Invitational meet held at the YMCA Aquatic Center.  We had a total of  seven new team records broken and both men’s relay records were shattered. Jesse Greve lead the charge on new records setting three new men’s open records in the 50 Free (30.9) 100 Free (1:07.4) and the 200 free (2:27.3) plus participating in both record breaking relays Medley Relay (2:46.2) Free Relay (2:21.6). Other record breakers included, Gregg Dedic 50 Back (35.9) and both relays, Jonathon Sady 100 Breast (1:53.3) and both relays and Ian Soules both relays. See photo highlights from the meet below.

A great big heaping thanks to Coach Larry for being meet director and all of the volunteers that helped make this meet possible.  We would also like to thank the YMCA Aquatic Center for making such great events as this possible. Many thanks to the Dr. Philips High School Swim Team, Lockheed Martin and Lucky’s Lake swimmers who all volunteered at the meet and special thanks to all the parents of the athletes who are the unsung heroes.

Our next team event will be Tuesday July 30th, which are our County Games (Team Time Trials).  Swimmers must attend this event to get times for submission to the Area Games (see our schedule for times).

See everyone Tuesday at practice!!!!  We will be giving out the awards from the meet at practice.  Congratulations to all our swimmers that participated.
